Monsoon Havoc: Collapsed Structures and Tragic Incidents Amidst Heavy Rains in Delhi

In the midst of heavy monsoon rains in Delhi, the city has witnessed a series of unfortunate events, resulting in collapsed structures and tragic incidents.

In the Kalkaji area, the wall of Deshbandhu College gave way under the relentless downpour, causing damage to several cars in its vicinity. The combination of heavy rain and strong winds also uprooted numerous trees, one of which fell on a car in Delhi's East of Kailash area.

In Karol Bagh, a devastating incident occurred at a Tibbia College Society apartment, where a woman lost her life when the ceiling collapsed. The police reported that the ceiling caved in during the early hours of Saturday due to the continuous rainfall. The victim, identified as 58-year-old Ranjeet Kaur, had been trying to salvage some belongings after a portion of the ceiling had already collapsed. Tragically, she was crushed to death under the debris as the rest of the ceiling came crashing down.

These incidents highlight the destructive impact of the monsoon season, as heavy rains and the subsequent structural damage pose serious risks to life and property in Delhi.
